About Us
King Abdulaziz University Dental Hospital Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology Central Laboratory is one of the distinguished centers in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia that accepts biopsy for diagnosis from dentists and physicians. Our services are provided by pathologists who are diplomates of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology (ABOMP). We offer significant expertise to the oversight of diagnostic cases within the scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. We provide a full range of histology techniques, including grossing, processing, embedding, microtome, routine, and special staining. Our laboratory is staffed by highly experienced technicians, who are registered and licensed by the Saudi Commission of the Health Specialties. In addition, we apply a strict quality assurance mechanism to maintain a consistent level of precision.

To Submit a Biopsy to us:
Please fill the Requisition Form and let the patient read and sign the Consent Form. You can send your specimen to our address or request a pickup. Please fill up this request form for each patient for pickup request. If you need a biopsy kit, please fill a Biopsy Kit Request Form.
Guidelines for Submitting Specimens:
Put the tightly capped bottle of formalin-fixed tissue with a copy of the requisition form in a clear plastic biohazard bag and send it to us. The patients’ name and date of birth are REQUIRED on the bottles for processing the case.
Get a Consultation and Second Opinion
What you need to do?
1. Get the following ready:
- Pathology slides
- Pathology blocks/unstained slides
- Pathology original report
2. Package your slides carefully to avoid breakage
3. Include: Consultation and Second Opinion Request Form, completed.
4. Send it to our address
5. Final report with diagnosis will be sent to you
Usually, a diagnosis is reached within 3-5 days of your slides' arrival Oral Central Laboratory. If there is a delay, please contact the lab.
