Scope of Practice
- Installation of the new equipment in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and equipment classification
- Ensure all equipment must be included in hospital inventory, tagged and all related documents have been collected
- All mandatory safety tests are done according to manufacturer recommendations
- Perform operational training for the end-user and ensure it is carried out properly by a specialized engineer or application specialist
- Maintain and follow up equipment warranties, recommendations updating and equipment upgrade
- Perform equipment inspection, testing, calibration, and daily check
- Ensure patient safety by monitoring equipment hazards, alerts or recalls
- Planned preventive maintenance (Proactive maintenance), must be per manufacturer recommendations
- Track and fix equipment failures (Corrective maintenance)
- Operate, track and control systems which support the equipment (RO-Planet, vacuum system, and air compressor systems)
- Ensure the safe range of water quality by frequent specialized tests
- Apply and follow gas cylinders procedures
