Scope of Practice

  • Extraction of impacted or severely damaged teeth, including wisdom tooth extraction
  • Placement of dental implants to replace missing teeth or provide support for dentures and bridges
  • Diagnosis and treatment of TMJ disorders, including surgical interventions if necessary
  • Management of facial fractures, lacerations, and soft tissue injuries caused by accidents or trauma
  • Evaluation and management of oral lesions, tumors, cysts, and other abnormalities
  • Treatment of infections in the oral and facial region, including dental abscesses and osteomyelitis
  • Preparation of the mouth and jaw for the placement of dental prosthetics, such as dentures or dental bridges
  • Orthognathic surgery to correct jaw misalignment, malocclusion, and facial asymmetry
  • Performing facial Cosmetic procedure, Non-invasive such as Botox and dermal fillers, Invasive procedures such as rhinoplasty (nose surgery), genioplasty (chin surgery), and facial rejuvenation surgeries
  • Performing Surgical procedures for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea, including maxillomandibular advancement
  • Diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the salivary glands, including removal of salivary gland stones or tumors
  • Surgical repair of cleft lip and palate deformities in children and adults

Qualification

  • Clinical certificate OMFS, American or Canadian Board of OMFS, Master of Science Degree
  • Clinical certificate OMFS, American or Canadian Board of OMFS, Doctor of Science Degree
  • PhD in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
  • Saudi Specialty Clinical certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
  • Bachelor of Dental Science (BDS)
