Scope of Practice
- Prescribe diagnostic imaging examination of pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient age groups
- Performing diagnostic imaging examination of pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient age groups following the KAUFD prescription guidelines (Intraoral radiographs, and extraoral radiographs, and CBCT)
- Report on diagnostic imaging examination of pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient age groups
- Provide consultation services for various diagnostic imaging examination acquired at UDH or external examinations
- Verify the adherence of the DHCWs to the KAUDH prescription guidelines
- Monitor the compliance of DHCWs with the radiation safety procedures
- Train dental assistants, students, and residents on performing intraoral radiographic examinations
- Train dental professionals on the interpretation of various diagnostic imaging examinations
- Educate the patients about diagnostic imaging examinations and the safety measures
